Who have the Growth Hubs helped already?

Vandalite Lighting in Halifax continues to achieve business growth as new equipment and process keep them at the forefront of the industry. Working with a dedicated Growth Manager, support and investment from the LEP enabled Vandalite to fast-track projects that have facilitated an increase in turnover and the employment of new staff. Halifax-based Azo reduced their gas bills by a third and halved their energy costs thanks to support from the LEP’s Resource Efficiency Fund. Operating from a building at was built late 19th century came with a few challenges. A free assessment revealed ways in which the business could be more efficient and since receiving support Azo have reduced their gas bills by a third and halved their energy costs. Leeds based Claritas Solutions Ltd provides a range of IT services including connectivity, hosting, security, application development, project management and technical support. They originally contacted the LEP regarding support to help them move into new offices, but discovered they could also receive support with developing their sales and marketing strategy. “As a result of both the financial and advisory support, we’ve created 8.4 new full-time roles and our turnover should increase to £9 million this financial year.” – Kirsty Sutton, Director. Vocation Brewery in Hebden Bridge was set up in 2015.  A grant from the LEP, allowed Vocation Brewery to purchase a canning line which means it is now producing 24,000 cans a day, double what it was producing before. With 11 new jobs created and an increase in productivity, it has now been able to increase the export side of the business. Take a look at their full story.
