Calderdale is, quite simply, a beautiful place. A distinct character, set in rolling Pennine Hills, its vibrant market towns are studded with listed buildings and laced with rivers and canals. Against this backdrop, there is the addition of great links to the wider City Region and beyond, including easy motorway access to Manchester and Leeds, direct rail services to York, Leeds, Manchester and London. As we approach the region’s 50th anniversary the Vision 2024 campaign celebrates local successes while pushing us to strive for more as we look to the future of the region and the role businesses and residents can play in shaping our community.
Some 8,000 business have made Calderdale their home, from international giants, such as Lloyds Bank, through to hundreds of creative businesses.
As part of Calderdale’s ambitious Vision 2024 we want to create a strong and resilient economy by supporting our enterprising businesses to retain and create sustainable jobs, investing in skills to create a talented workforce, raise employer demand for higher level skills, and moving economically inactive people towards or into the labour marketFind out more
