Calderdale is, quite simply, a beautiful place. Set in rolling Pennine Hills, its vibrant market towns are studded with listed buildings and laced with rivers and canals. Against this backdrop, there is the addition of great links to the wider City Region and beyond, including easy motorway access to Manchester and Leeds, direct rail services to York, Leeds, Manchester and London and a plan for further investment for direct connections coast to coast and to Manchester International Airport.

Some 8,000 business have made Calderdale their home, from international giants, such as Lloyds Bank, through to hundreds of creative businesses.

Calderdale wishes to create a strong and resilient economy by retaining and creating sustainable jobs, invest in skills to create a higher skilled workforce, raising employer demand for higher level skills and moving economically active people towards or into the labour market.
